We all want the best from replacement double glazed windows. That’s why our windows stand apart. From styling to performance to saving energy, our advanced window designs give you a comfortable, secure, energy efficient home
Our double glazed windows are filled with argon gas, which reduces conductive and convective heat transferred.
Up to 80% of energy loss through a window can occur at the edge. Conventional aluminium spacer bars conduct heat out and cold in, and have exceptionally high thermal energy loss. We use a warm edge spacer bar, which reduces heat loss at the edge of your replacement windows by up to 94%. Double glazed windows fitted with warm edge spacers have an internal temperature of up to 65% warmer, reducing condensation on your sealed unit by up to 70%. This reduction in moisture virtually eliminates the chance of mould growth and potentially harmful bacteria.
Our replacement windows have softcoat low e glass, a transparent metallic coating, which reflects heat back into your home. The coating also allows heat and light from the sun to pass through the glass, warming your room, adding to the efficiency of your windows.
We also use low iron glass, which produces a higher light and energy transmittance.
Flush Sash Windows
The latest development from our window manufacturer, the flush sash casement window, offers the aesthetics of a traditional post-1932 timber window combined with 21st century thermal benefits offered by our multi-chambered lead free uPVC windows.
With sash fitting flush into the frame, this brand new concept in window technology is capable of achieving an A+ window energy rating and is ideal for a traditional building, particularly when foiled with one of the woodgrain finished available.
The sash window offers total versatility depending on the finish and colours chosen. The fully sculptered window in grey, for example, delivers a clean, modern appearance suited to more contemporary building styles.
Available in a sculptured profile with a flush finish on external faces and 28mm double glazing, our flush sash windows are internally beaded and come with a wide choice of opening configurations, colours, finishes, hardware and glazing options, with georgian bars also available.
Stained Glass Windows
As a material stained glass is glass that has been coloured by adding metallic salts during its manufacture. The coloured glass is crafted into stained glass windows in which small pieces of glass are arranged to form patterns or pictures, held together traditionally by strips of lead and supported by a rigid frame.
Stained glass is still popular today, but often referred to as art glass. It is prevalent in luxury homes, commercial buildings, and places of worship. We are often contracted to create beautiful art glass ranging from domes, windows, splashbacks and so on.
We Install Triple As Well As Double Glazed Windows
Our triple glazed windows have an incredible U value of just 1.0 as standard, and a BFRC energy rating of A+ 16. This can be easily upgraded to A+ 20 by changing the external pane of glass from clear float to low iron glass.
Radiators are nearly always positioned directly below a window, so it makes sense to strongly consider the insulation performance of the window directly above it. Our triple glazed window will enable you to save more of the energy that you have personally paid for.
An additional benefit of triple glazing is improved noise reduction, with the standard specification achieving a superb decibel rating of 32. The bubble gaskets used within the window are also beneficial with regard to noise reduction.
A triple glazed window has three panes of glass to protect your property, providing an extra barrier compared with two panes of traditional double glazed windows.
